Saturday shifts the focus to Qualifying and the opening races of the weekend. Following Q1 and Q2, the S1GP riders will battle for the leading grid positions in Superpole, before the first S4 and S1GP races take place in the afternoon. The racing action will be complemented by a series of spectacular demonstrations: Attila Palatinus will perform two stunt shows, an air display will add to the programme in the early afternoon, while Olivér Ámon’s drift show will round off the on-track entertainment later in the day.
Saturday’s programme will also feature a motorcycle parade, and the circuit will remain active into the evening: rental karting will be available until 10:00 PM, while the Crew Project DJ will perform at the podium area.
Sunday is all about the Finals. The SM Junior, S2 and S4 classes will all return to the track, while the S1GP riders will first contest the Fast Race before lining up later in the afternoon for the S1GP Final, the sporting highlight of the weekend. The S4 field will complete two further races on Sunday, making the new class one of the key sporting features of the weekend.
Sunday’s supporting programme is set to deliver major attractions in its own right. Balázs Herczeg “Mókus” will perform two stunt shows, while one of the highlights of the day will be an air display by Péter Besenyei, former Red Bull Air Race World Champion, above the circuit. The air display will open the pre-race ceremony ahead of the S1GP Fast Race, which will also feature the Hungarian national anthem and ceremonial laps by motorcycle paramedics before the premier class takes to the track.
Sunday’s programme will also include an autograph session with the stars of S1GP, while spectators looking for even more opportunities to meet the riders can purchase a paddock pass, giving them access to the paddock and a closer look at the teams’ working areas.
Experiences throughout the weekend
Alongside the racing and demonstrations on track, a wide range of exhibitions, interactive activities and motorcycle experiences will be available throughout Saturday and Sunday at the MBH Befektetési Bank S1GP Hungarian Grand Prix. Exhibitors will include Magyar Suzuki, TM Moto Hungary, Stark Future, Mugenrace, STIHL, Kunmadaras Motorsport and BME Motorsport, giving visitors the opportunity to discover a variety of motorcycles, racing technology and technical innovations up close between track sessions.
There will also be plenty on offer for visitors who want to experience the weekend as more than just spectators. Scenic helicopter flights will be available, anyone can test their skills on the Biker’s Deo wheelie simulator, while the CL4 Offroad Riding School will offer free motorcycle sessions for children. Visitors will also have the opportunity to try Talaria electric motorcycles during the event.
Several organised motorcycle rides will also form part of Saturday’s programme. MyMotoBro, Motoros Travel and Rbiker will each organise group rides to Visonta, with other riders welcome to join. Participants can therefore start the weekend with a shared riding experience before arriving at the circuit, where they can explore the motorcycles on display and enjoy the full racing programme.
The organisers will also provide all-day catering, with a varied and affordably priced selection of food and refreshments available throughout the weekend. Visitors can choose from hot and cold dishes, freshly prepared grilled food, lángos, sweets and ice cream, as well as speciality coffees, soft drinks and a range of other refreshments. For the first time this year, guests will also be able to sample Froyo Like ice cream, premium grape juices from Giuseppe Grape and a selection of wines from Nyakas Winery.
With this combination of World Championship racing and a full weekend of supporting attractions, the MBH Befektetési Bank S1GP Hungarian Grand Prix will turn Black Star Speedway Visonta into a true motorsport festival.
