The countdown has begun for the 2025 FIM Supermoto World Championship and European Championship. For the first time, the championship field will visit Hungary at Black Star Speedway Visonta on July 12-13, 2025. Tickets are available at S1GP.hu.
Great anticipation surrounds the 2025 S1GP Supermoto World Championship season, which kicks off on March 29-30, 2025. This year, for the first time, the Hungarian Grand Prix will be held at Black Star Speedway Visonta on July 12-13, 2025.
The excitement is building as new teams enter the championship and major rider transfers take place, making the upcoming season even more competitive and thrilling. Additionally, several important innovations will be introduced to the program.
The S1GP Qualifying System Undergoes a Transformation
Starting this season, S1GP qualification will begin with an initial round, Q1, followed by Q2, featuring the fastest nine riders. This new system will be complemented by the Superpole session, where the top three riders will not only compete for the Metzeler cash prize but also earn additional championship points.
New Categories
Starting this year, the S2 category will be introduced, featuring 125cc 2-stroke and 250cc 4-stroke motorcycles. Additionally, the Junior European Championship will be launched, taking place on select major race weekends. Each round will consist of three races, one of which will be held on Saturday.
The Championship Comes to Hungary for the First Time
The season kicks off at the well-known Albaida Circuit in Spain, where preparations are already underway for the season-opening Comunitat Valenciana Grand Prix, scheduled for March 29-30. In May, the Sardinia GP (Tramatza, Italy) will take place for the fourth consecutive time, with an expected increase in rider participation. In June, the championship will head to St. Wendel, Germany.
In July, both the World Championship and the European Championship will arrive in Hungary at Black Star Speedway Visonta, where work is already underway on the new off-road section and the Sky Section, a unique feature in Hungary. In September, the historic Italian circuit of Busca will host the Piemonte Grand Prix, followed by the first-ever FIM SuperMoto of Nations in the Czech Republic. As per tradition, the championship will conclude in Belgium at the iconic urban circuit in Mettet on October 11-12, 2025.
